Rob Fenza

Liberty Property Trust, COO (Retired) | Penn State University, Board of Trustees

Robert Fenza is an active member of the Pennsylvania State University Board of Trustees representing Business and Industry. Fenza Chaired Penn State’s Finance and Investment Committee providing oversight to the 9-billion-dollar operating entity. He is currently the Vice-Chair of the Governance Committee, and Vice-Chair of the Real Estate Sub-Committee.

He earned a specialized degree, Bachelor of Philosophy, combining Landscape Architecture, Business and Real Estate in 1980 from Penn State, and was honored with membership in the University’s Society of Distinguished Alumni.

Fenza led the College of Arts & Architecture’s “For the Future Capital Campaign” and served as Vice Chair of the University’s most recent capital campaign, “A Greater Penn State for 21st Century Excellence.” He was awarded the Alumni Fellow Award in 2004 and was honored in 2012 as the Fundraising Volunteer of the Year.

In March 2015, he concluded his 40-year career and retired from his position as Chief Operating Officer of Liberty Property Trust, a NYSE traded, national Real Estate Investment Trust. Fenza Chaired Liberty’s Development Committee and served on the Investment Committee and the Executive Committee. As COO, he propelled Liberty to become one of America’s leading developers of Green High-Performance Buildings.

He currently serves on the Board of a private Real Estate Investment Firm and provides advisory services as an Executive Consultant.  Fenza has Chaired and served on many non-profit boards including Chester County Food Bank, Quest Equestrian Therapy, Natural Lands Trust, and the Charter High School for Architecture and Design, and now serves as a volunteer and board member for Amigos de Jesus, an orphanage and bilingual school in Honduras, Chester County Hospital Foundation, and Providence Church and it’s Westside Community Youth Center in West Chester.
