Advance Realty Continues Strong Leasing Activity Throughout Northern Virginia Portfolio

Advance Realty, a leading Northeast owner and developer of Class A office, mixed-use and flex-space properties, today announced that it has completed two lease transactions at buildings it owns in Fairfax County, Va., continuing the firm’s strong leasing activity throughout its DC-area portfolio. The new transactions include a 10,000-square-foot expansion at its Avion Business Park in Chantilly, Va., and a 1,579-square-foot lease at 8381 Old Courthouse Road in Vienna, Va.

“Avion Business Park and 8381 Old Courthouse Road are among the finest office environments in Northern Virginia, each offering superb proximity to major thoroughfares” stated David Fisher, senior vice president and regional managing director for Advance Realty’s Washington, D.C. region. “These latest transactions continue our healthy leasing activity, and come on the heels of a third quarter during which our DC-area leasing activity totaled more than 236,000 square feet.”

Intersections Inc, which is a provider of consumer and corporate identity risk management services, signed a 10,037-square-foot lease expansion at the Avion Business Park. The company now leases 98,310 square feet within Advance Realty’s nine-building portfolio at Avion. Henry Chapman of CB Richard Ellis represented the tenant, while Terry Reiley of CB Richard Ellis represented Advance Realty.

Additionally, JC Decaux Airport, Inc. signed a lease for 1,579 square feet at 8381 Old Courthouse Road. Carol Murphy and Patrick McCrann of Rosenthal Realty, LLC represented the tenant and Carter Byrnes of CB Richard Ellis brokered the deal for Advance Realty.

Today’s announcement continues strong leasing activity at 8381 and 8391 Old Courthouse Road, as Advance Realty recently announced two other lease transactions at the buildings totaling more than 19,000 square feet. Located in the heart of Tysons Corner, the Class A buildings total nearly 95,000 square feet and are connected by an attractive courtyard, a series of walkways and beautiful landscaping. The buildings lobbies feature marble floors, wall coverings and upgraded lighting.
