Advance Realty Group Commences Demolition at Harrison Metrocentre
Construction of Mixed-Use Development to Commence This Fall
Representatives from the Town of Harrison and Hudson County, as well as members from the New York Red Bulls soccer team, recently joined Advance Realty Group, a leading owner and developer of Class A office properties in the Northeast, to celebrate the beginning of demolition and site work at the Company’s planned Harrison MetroCentre site in Harrison, New Jersey. When completely built, Harrison MetroCentre will total three million square feet of Class A office space, 300,000 square feet of retail, approximately 3,500 housing units and a 25,000-seat stadium for the New York Red Bulls.
“We are extremely excited to have commenced demolition at the Harrison MetroCentre mixed-use urban development site,” commented Peter J. Cocoziello, president and CEO of Advance Realty Group. “This milestone has been a long-time in the making and the result of a tremendous amount of teamwork between the Town of Harrison, the Red Bulls and Advance. With the demolition of the existing buildings on the site, everyone in Harrison can now look forward to the construction of this world-class mixed-use development. We’re one step closer to the dream of Harrison MetroCentre becoming a reality.”
Harrison Mayor Ray McDonough added, “We would like to congratulate and extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved in Harrison MetroCentre — from the entire team of professionals at Advance and the leadership at Town of Harrison to Nick Sakiewicz of AEG and the entire Red Bulls soccer team. Everyone has played an instrumental role in this undertaking and we thank everyone for their continuous hard work and dedication to creating a new destination that the entire NY/NJ region will take pride in for many years to come.”
