Advance Realty’s Windsor Center Receives East Windsor Township 2013 Business Award
Since Purchasing Retail Site in 2012, Leading Owner and Developer Has Significantly Improved Property’s Appearance and Operations
Advance Realty, a leading Northeast owner and developer of Class A office, retail, multifamily and mixed-use properties, today announced that it has received a 2013 Business Award from East Windsor Township.
Bestowed by East Windsor Township Mayor Janice S. Mironov, the award recognizes Advance’s successfully repositioning of Windsor Center, a 130,233-square-foot retail site at 440 Route 130 South. In 2012, a joint-venture partnership of Advance Realty and Structure Tone Equities acquired Windsor Center and subsequently repositioned the property by investing significant capital to improve its appearance and operations.
The investment has resulted in an increase in tenant leasing at the site, including leases with Bottom Dollar and Retro Fitness, which have recently opened for business, Smashburger and popular retail chain Ross Dress for Less, which will take occupancy of its space in the second half of 2014. Other tenants include PNC Bank, Staples, Benjamin Moore and Sprint.
“On behalf of East Windsor Township, I’d like to congratulate Advance Realty on this outstanding honor,” Mironov said. “In the short time that Advance has owned Windsor Center, the company has transformed the site into a leading retail destination for the residents of East Windsor and the surrounding region. We could not be more pleased with the beautification of the property, the jobs that have been created and the new national retail tenants offering additional products and services for local residents.”
Designed to recognize local businesses that make special efforts to improve or contribute to the community through business beautification, community service or community enhancement, East Windsor Township’s Business Awards program is administered by a selection committee that includes representatives from the Township Economic Development Committee, the Township Environmental Commission, the Clean Communities Committee and the Township Council.
“It has been a pleasure to partner with the administration of East Windsor Township as we’ve strived to create a retail environment that the town and its residents can be proud of,” Advance Managing Director Rick Zack said. “We’re honored to receive a 2013 Business Award. We will continue to do everything in our power to ensure that Windsor Center is an attractive and valued part of the landscape of the East Windsor community.”
