One Gallery in Newark to Host ‘Jersey Proud’ Exhibit
Celebrating Garden State’s Unique and Amazing Diversity, Show Will Run From May 19 Through June 30
One Gallery announced today that it will host “Jersey Proud,” an exhibit celebrating New Jersey’s rich and diverse heritage. Located in the lower lobby of One Gateway Center, Advance Realty’s strategically located office tower in downtown Newark, N.J., One Gallery will host the exhibit from May 19 through June 30.
The varied collections on display will include artifacts from the founding of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce 100 years ago, and a series of interactive games as they would have been played in that year of 1911; New Jersey Hall of Fame, which will display images of more than 40 inductees, from Yogi Berra to Bruce Springsteen, plus intimate photos from past induction ceremonies, and video biographies and acceptance speeches that celebrate Jersey’s best; and the Edison Innovation Foundation and Charles Edison Fund, which will present Thomas Edison’s life and achievements through a selection of photographs and images. Additionally, New Jersey Travel Industry Association will host a display.
The public is invited to an opening reception for “Jersey Proud,” which will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 19. Throughout the exhibit, One Gallery will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, as well as weekends by appointment.
“We are excited to host ‘Jersey Proud’, which celebrates the numerous achievements of the New Jersey residents that make us so proud to call the garden state our home,” stated Rick Zack, general manager of One Gateway Center. “Housing the One Gallery at One Gateway Center is a distinctive aspect that sets One Gateway Center apart from many other Class A office properties, and allows the building to play host to special events such as this.”

About One Gallery
It all began with the fresco mural located just outside the One Gallery, commissioned in 2004 by Peter J. Cocoziello of Advance Realty, entitled “The Ideal City” created by Andrea Susanne Heinisch of Florence, Italy. This grew into an opportunity to not only enhance the work environment for Advance Realty’s tenants, but to support and give voice to the wonderful artists located so close to home. Further to that, the One Gallery is a wonderful way to garner support for local philanthropies. To date the One Gallery has featured over 1,000 original works of art and photographs from local artists.
